Devicescape provides a software that sends out alerts when devices enter venues and allow clients to deliver location-specific mobile engagements including in-app ads, coupons and reminders. Additionally, clients are able to collect first-party location data.
Through the acquisition, Pareteum’s clients which include IoT and communications service providers and B2C brands, will be able to connect mobile users and devices to public places worldwide.
The Devicescape solution is powered by its Curated Virtual Network (CVN), which adds beacon functionality without the need for new infrastructure by tagging access points with contextual data, such as geographic location and venue name.
“This latest acquisition adds another dimension to the experiences Pareteum is able to power for our communication service providers, Smart City, and IoT customers through our Super API. Location awareness is set to become fundamental to mobility services and Devicescape is an excellent fit with our cloud software-based, infrastructure-free model for the provision of compelling connected experiences. I am delighted to welcome Dave and his staff to the TEUM,” said Hal Turner, executive chairman of Pareteum.
